When Gabriele Rigamonti, Carla Scorda and Vittorio Turla of Studiocharlie presented the wooden chair they had designed to Billiani, the prototype was orangey red and its name was Aragosta, the Italian for lobster, due to the imposing seat and tapering legs. Thus began the partnership between these Brianza-trained designers and the know-how of the Friuli district. The Aragosta chair, as well as the armchair, are the result of highly skilled technical procedures such as the seat being refined at the front and the thin and slightly tilted backrest, suggesting liveliness and dynamism. The legs, upright on the ground, are worked in such a way that they do not seem to close on themselves as they would if they were simply straight: an optical correction inspired by printing, a great passion of Studiocharlie.
