Please read the following terms and conditions carefully before entering. If you have any questions please email Archello.These terms are legally binding. This service is provided by Archello B.V. (Johan van Hasseltweg 33a, 1021 KN Amsterdam, Netherlands).
General
1.1 The initiator and organiser of the Archello Awards is Archello B.V. By completing and submitting the online entry form at www.archello.com/awards and paying the entry fees, the applicant will fully and unreservedly agree to all of the terms and conditions of the Archello Awards. If you do not agree with any of the terms or conditions, then you should not take part in the Archello Awards.
1.2 The ‘Terms and conditions’ of the Archello Awards are an addendum to the general Terms of Use of the Archello website.
Eligibility
2.1 At the Archello Awards there are awards for contemporary architecture projects, buildings and interiors (short: projects), and for building products (short: products).
2.2 For the project awards, only completed architecture and interior architecture projects may be entered. Speculative or unrealised designs are not eligible. To be eligible for entry to the Archello Awards 2023, architecture and interior architecture projects must have been completed between 2021 and 30 September 2023. To be considered as completed, architecture projects need to have been handed over to the client.
2.3 For the product awards, only building products that are ready for production may be entered. Speculative products or products that won’t ever go into production are not eligible. To be eligible for entry to Archello Awards 2023 the products must have been presented to the public between 2021 and 30 September 2023. Furthermore, the products must be in industrial production or on a concrete path to industrial production.
2.4 All entries must be submitted by or on behalf of the designer, studio, architect, interior architect, architecture firm or manufacturer chiefly responsible for the architecture project or building product and named as such in press and publicity material. Entries submitted on behalf of a designer, studio, architect, interior architect, architecture firm or manufacturer must be done so with their permission. Joint entries are allowed if the architecture project or building product was designed by more than one designer, studio, architect, interior architect, architecture firm or manufacturer.
2.5 If the same project or product is entered by more than one designer, studio, architect, interior architect, architecture firm or manufacturer, Archello B.V. reserves the right to disqualify all entries. Archello B.V. also reserves the right to disqualify an entry if it becomes apparent that a submission is inaccurate or if Archello or the jury has any uncertainty about the integrity of the entry.
2.6 Entries must be submitted via the online awards entry form that can be found on the Archello website at www.archello.com/awards. All submitted texts must be in English. If you submit a project in another language, Archello B.V. reserves the right to disqualify it.
2.7 Projects or products must only be submitted into a category once. If two parties have collaborated on a project together, it is the entrant's responsibility to ensure that the project is only submitted by one of the collaborating parties. The designated entrant will be responsible for all stages of the entry.
Requirements and accepted formats
3.1 The Archello Awards are open to all registered architecture firms, design studios and manufacturers, as well as all individual professional architects, interior architects and designers all over the world, over the age of 18.
3.2 There are two ways you can enter an architecture project or building product at the Archello Awards. If the project or product hasn’t yet been published on the Archello website, the steps described at 3.3 need to be taken. If the project or product has already been published on the Archello website, only the step described at 3.4 needs to be taken.
3.3 Entering an architecture project or building product at the Archello Awards is straightforward but requires several steps:
a - Log into your personal account at the Archello website or create a free, personal account;
b - In your personal account, found under your profile picture or avatar, select the brand for which you want to enter a project or product; or: connect to that brand; or: create that brand if you can’t find it on the Archello website;
c - In the brand’s dashboard, go to Projects or Products and select either ‘Add Project’ or ‘Add Product’ and upload all required information.
d - Follow the wizard in which you enter all information on the project or product to the end and then select entry to the Archello Awards;
e - At the page where you can enter projects and products at the Archello Awards, look up the project(s) or product(s) that you want to enter, select the right category or categories for each, pay the entrance fees, and you’re done.
3.4 If the architecture project or building product has already been published on the Archello website, simply go to archello.com/awards and select ‘Enter Now’. At the following page look up the project(s) or product(s) that you want to enter, select the right category or categories for each, pay the entrance fees, and you’re done.
3.5 For the jury to see your entry, the architecture project or building product must be published on the Archello website.
3.6 Entries must be submitted before 23:59 Amsterdam time (CEST) on the night of 29 September 2023. No entries will be accepted after this time.
3.7 All entries must be submitted digitally via the entry forms on the Archello website at www.archello.com/awards. No other method of submitting entries will be accepted. Our awards entry form requires the entrant to provide a name, address and email address.
3.8 Applicants are allowed to enter as many projects and products as they wish, in as many categories as they wish.
3.9 Project(s) and product(s) that are entered at the Archello Awards can be altered up to the point of payment. After this point, no alterations can be made to the project(s) and product(s) that have been entered or to the category or categories.
3.10 The presentations of the project(s) or product(s) that have been entered at the Archello Awards can always be updated by logging into the brand’s dashboard.
3.11 Entries will be judged solely on the material submitted. Entries must include at least one photograph of the completed project or presented product. Photographs must be genuine and unaltered, though minor retouching is allowed. Computer-generated images or renderings are accepted as supporting material where relevant, but these will be given secondary importance in the judging process. Such images must be clearly captioned as being computer-generated or renderings. Archello B.V. shall be under no obligation to request alternative or replacement images.
3.12 Applicants represent and warrant that all materials submitted will not infringe or constitute a misappropriation of any right of any third party, including any copyrights, mask work rights, patent rights, trademark rights, trade secret rights or confidentiality rights and agree to indemnify Archello B.V. and its employees against any liabilities, damages, costs, losses, or expenses arising as a result thereof.
Entry fees
4.1 The entry fees are dependent on date of entry, as set out on the Archello website. Any entrant deemed to have acted dishonestly when registering their entry will be contacted and this may result in disqualification. Upon registration, entrants should ensure they enter the correct information.
4.2 Payment must be made through the online payment system on the Archello website. Entrants will receive confirmation that their entry or entries have been successfully received via email once payment has been made. No other payment method will be accepted, except at the discretion of Archello B.V.
4.3 The entry fees for the Archello Awards are set at a highly affordable rate to allow all designers, studios, architects, interior architects, architecture firms and manufacturers to submit their best work. All entrants can save money by submitting their entries before the early bird entry deadline.
Once you've paid your entry fee there are no further obligatory payments to make. At Archello, we do not charge fees for nominations, winners, trophies, publications or anything else.

Entry Instructions
5.1 Below is some information to help you submit your entry.
Photographs: Photographs can be up to 10MB each. You can upload an unlimited amount of photographs and images, but we recommend uploading no more than 25. Only upload renderings or visualisations as supporting material.
Drawings: When uploading material for a project publication, we highly recommend adding drawings: plans, sections and details. The drawings can be uploaded as high-res images.
Video: It is a good idea to embed a video or include a link to a video. It’s recommended that such a video is no longer than five minutes in duration.
Entry text: Provide a short description of the designed project or product. The minimum word count is stated on the entry form. With a project, please provide a short description of the location, the brief, the design concept, the structure of the building or interior, applied materials, and sustainable solutions. Also note the way(s) in which the project makes a positive contribution to both the local community and society at large. With a building product, please provide a short description of the challenge, the solution, the materials used, the technologies that has been applied, and sustainable factors. Write your entry succinctly and clearly, sticking to the facts and avoiding exaggeration.
Refunds
6.1 Participants are allowed to withdraw their submitted projects from Archello Awards at any time. However, fees will not be refunded if the submitted entry is withdrawn.
6.2 In the event of disqualification, the entrant’s entry fees will be refunded within 30 days.
Categories
7.1 There are a total of 28 project categories and 18 product categories that can be entered. These categories are listed below and on the Archello website at archello.com/awards.
7.2 Entrants can enter as many of the project categories and product categories as many times as they wish.
7.3 The nominated ‘buildings’ in the project categories will be put forward as entries to the Building of the Year award and the For the Planet award. The nominated ‘interiors’ in the project categories will be put forward as entries for the Interior of the Year award and the For the Planet Award.
7.4 The nominations in the product categories will be put forward as entries for the Building Product of the Year award and the For the Planet Award.

Judges
8.1 Archello will appoint an international jury of acclaimed architects, designers, interior architects and interior designers, and possibly other experts from the architecture and design industry. There will be about 80 judges in total. A master jury of about 10 judges will be selected from the jury pool to choose the winners of the awards for: Building of the Year, Interior of the Year, Building Product of the Year and the For the Planet Awards
8.2 Names and portraits of the Archello Awards judges will be made public on the Archello website. A link to the LinkedIn-profile of each judge will also be included.
8.3 Archello B.V. will organise, select and manage the jury, which will be instructed to act without bias or favour. If a judge faces a potential conflict of interest, she / he / them will be assigned to a different category. The judges decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into regarding their decisions or decision-making processes.
Jury process
9.1 Project and Product categories judging – first stage. All entries are digitally reviewed by the Archello editorial team, assisted by architecture and interior architecture experts, who will select around 15 entries in each category. In this process, entries will be evaluated using the Archello Awards jury criteria as set out on the About page in the Archello Awards guide at the Archello website. The result of this stage is a longlist per category.
9.2 Project and Product categories judging – second stage. The international jury of acclaimed architects, designers, interior architects and interior designers, and possibly other experts from the architecture and design industry, will digitally rate the longlist of each category. In each category the five entries with the highest combined rating will become the five finalists / nominees in this category.Each member of the jury will review about 45-60 projects across multiple project and product categories. This will be done remotely, with each juror scoring entries using an online scoring system. Scores will be given according to the judging criteria. From the finalists / nominees a master jury will select up to five finalists / nominees for the awards of Building of the Year, Interior of the Year, Building Product of the Year and the For the Planet Awards.
9.3. Project and Product categories judging – third stage. The international jury of acclaimed architects, designers, interior architects and interior designers, and possibly other experts from the architecture and design industry, will digitally review the finalists / nominees in each category and collaboratively select a jury winner in each category: the Jury Winner.
9.4 Project and Product categories – public voting. After the finalists / nominees have been announced at the Archello website, the public can vote on their favourite projects in the Archello Awards guide at the Archello website. The project with the most votes from the public will be named Public Award Winner.
Announcement of winners
10.1 Nominated entries will be published on the Archello website. Entrants whose entries aren’t nominated will not receive any correspondence from Archello.
10.2 Archello Awards winners will also be announced in the Archello Awards guide at the Archello website, at www.archello.com/awards.
10.3 Archello may attempt to respond, answer and reply to any requests, queries or questions communicated by an applicant at any time. However, Archello B.V. is not required or obligated to provide such a response, answer or reply.
10.4 If an entry receives an award, the manner and details of announcing the nomination and award is strictly at the discretion of Archello B.V.. The applicant understands that all awards may not be given or publicised in the same manner.
