For 18 years already, a+t participates very actively in the architectural debate throughout our magazine, our books, conferences, newspaper articles and exhibitions. Our interests cover housing, public space, civic facilities and urban planning, which are always thoroughly analyzed from the commitment with the dense city and the necessity of mixing uses. All our publications are bilingual (English-Spanish) and distributed worldwide. Our publications include books and magazines on housing, civic facilities, urban planning and the mix of uses in the dense city that have served as reference for several exhibitions (Urban Life at The Architectural League in New York, Collectif at Arc en Rêve in Bourdeaux, etc...). Manifesto: a+t makes you wonder But there are a few things we are certain of: architecture cannot exist without the city and its citizens. For 16 years we have searched for committed projects. We are concerned about collective housing, about land occupation, about public spaces… We spare no effort in visiting what we publish. We don’t criticise projects, we analyse them. We publish a magazine without advertising When we have more to say, we make books. Still, our concerns are alike: affordable housing, density, mixed uses, the privatisation of urban spaces… a+t is internationally distributed, independent of any editorial group. Quality? Innovation? Prestige? It’s up to our readers to choose the adjectives on our publications. we distance ourselves more and more from self-centred buildings, or rather is it the architects who are self-centred? ... at a+t we want to keep wondering.
