City Futures Design Collaborative

CityFutures Design Collaborative is a young design firm formed by a group of professionals with expertise in different fields who came together in the year 2013 to form the idea of a collective platform for creating better futures. The firm essentially ideates from the vision that design is a complex process which demands the creative and engineering inputs from a wide variety of fields ranging from architecture to interior designing,urban design to design details, civil engineering to structural details. This multi-disciplinary nature requires not just expertise from one creative field, but a collaboration of experts from different fields. We at City futures try to bring this platform into the design process to generate creative outputs which are meaningful and futuristic, while being rooted in the cultural values... VISION We envisage a future where design is not just a product but an outcome of a well thought out process of evolution. We believe that every design should be a response to the socio-cultural and historic settings of that time and not just a mere response to the predominant style. Because styles change, but it is only the inherent values which remains for a lifetime. STUDIO To achieve the perceived vision we at city futures go through a design process which is carefully evolved keeping the nature of each project in mind. After detailed site study, we evolve the design from a series of discussions and debate. Every design is visualized through physical models and 3d softwares to understand the design holistically. The client is involved in the process actively all throughout these discussions. Our active involvement continues during on-site construction, with regular site visits and detailed interventions.
