Cox Rayner Architects is the Queensland-based practice of the Cox Architecture group which has offices throughout Australia, in Kuala Lumpur and in Beijing.
Since establishing in Brisbane in 1990, Cox Rayner has designed a significant body of architectural, urban design and interior design projects, receiving multiple premium awards. In brief, these include:
•• Two Australia Awards for Urban Design (in 2003 and 2012)
•• Seven World Architecture Festival Awards (an unprecedented number)
•• Five Australian Institute of Architects National Awards
•• Sixty Australian Institute of Architects Queensland Awards
The practice has in Brisbane sixty staff managed by six Directors and nine Associates. This scale of practice enables us to undertake all project types and sizes while maintaining our ability to develop strong professional client relationships – thus being the key to our project successes.
We are one of few firms in Australia with a defined design ethos, imparted to all staff, based on the principles of structure, craft, art and nature. Our ethos is devised to unify our process of design and planning, and to facilitate innovation in design thinking. It is informed by research clusters focused.
