Elena Rogna was born in Asola (Mantua) and graduated in Industrial Design from Brescia Machina Institute in 2009.
Her passion for Architecture and industrial Design started at an early age. She developed her first designs while attending Istituto d’Arte (renovation of small living units, products designed for everyday use) and she soon got in touch with what makes architecture and design dreams real: the world of handicrafts: construction, installation activities and art. This precious amount of practical and technical knowledge allows her to deal easily with ideas and their execution.
Her work follows a dual track: Elena deals with interior design as a whole from concept to execution, she visits the building sites and works with architects, furniture and interior shops or works independently but at the same time she maintains her ongoing interest in industrial design, designing and creating home furnishings.
In 2011
her project IN-SET, which was part of her graduation thesis, was included in the anthology
IL DESIGN ITALIANO 20.00.11 (Design Press), Visioni e Utopie section.
In 2012
her stool BETTY was selected by F&P Group for Giorgia’ s tour Dietro le apparenze. On the stage there were three stools: one for the lead singer and two for the backup singers.
Since 2012
Elena has been teaching Industrial Design for Liceo Foppa in Brescia.
Elena has a six-year-old daughter, Marta who attributes a philosophical meaning to each of her mum’s projects.
