London-based Brazilian designer, Fernanda Brunoro got her Industrial Design bachelor’s degree and started her professional experience as a designer since 1999 in Brazil. As well as designing for manufacture, Fernanda also has run workshops and lectures.
In order to improve her knowledge and develop her professional capacity, in 2005 she came to Europe and concluded a Master in Interior Design in Milan, where she lived for five years. She worked at Patricia Urquiola’s office for three years and this experience helped her to improve a lot, working in different type of projects for product design and interior design department, developing and following several projects, being in contact with important suppliers, clients and furniture manufacturers. The most important projects that she was involved included the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Barcelona, Cosas exhibition in Valencia (Spain), the shop concept for Somma in Harrods and some projects for Molteni.
She has been working also as a freelance designer for manufacturers in Brazil from 2008. Most of her products are furniture for indoor and outdoor, using different materials, depending on the speciality of each company. Working from distances also improved her communication skills.
She is based in London from the end of 2010, searching a new experience and development of her career.
Usually her projects follow simplicity with special attention at the details. During her product development she consider function with welfare, comfort and social conviviality as well as theme like sustentability, durability and low environmental impact. Some of her products has a touch of the Brazilianness feeling.
