GHA are an award-winning design studio with national and international reach. Underpinning the practice is an approach rooted in the constant exploration of ideas about how buildings and cities are made built and how they can improve the lives of individuals and communities. In keeping to these core principles, they have secured a reputation for delivering high quality buildings across all sectors and masterplans which have transformed large parts of UK’s largest cities.
The practice was founded by Glenn Howells in 1990, with the idea of working on exciting projects for like-minded clients. Since then GHA have grown steadily and won some remarkable commissions. Their projects have won a diverse range of awards including the RIBA, British Council for Offices, Housing Design, RICS, Civic Trust, Concrete Society and Brick Awards. The Savill Building was shortlisted for the RIBA Stirling Prize in 2007.
