Founded by Sarah Kuchar-Parkinson, Kuchar is a studio of creative trailblazers who have been exciting their clients since 2016. We serve Chicago and the surrounding areas as well as clients nationally and internationally.

Amsterdam Financial Firm
This company consulted our Chicago interior design services to breathe new life into their office. For Amsterdam Financial Firm, we took inspiration from Amsterdam’s famous local artwork, weaving elements from key pieces into our designs. This included incorporating Girl with a Pearl Earring into our conference room lighting, and using the color palette from Van Gogh’s 1887 self-portrait for the building’s café.
Amsterdam’s beautiful architecture wasn’t lost on us during our journeys through the city, and we took inspiration from the colorful tiled doorways, the brick archways of the canal bridges, and the diverse shapes of the famed canal homes. Our interior design firm then used these sources of inspiration to craft the wall textures of the conference center, the bright tiles of the restrooms, and the overall architectural language of the space.
Alice & Wonder
Another Chicago, Illinois interior design project we absolutely love Alice & Wonder. Our goal was to make the space feel fresh, feminine, and evaluated, which we accomplished by using a color palette consisting of white with pops of pink and teal. We also used warm woods to complete the look.
This new location was focused on highlighting the beautiful clothing pieces the company offers, and we accomplished this by using a mix of stationary and mobile merchandisers. The final look welcomes customers and keeps them wanting to see more of the store.
Scandinavian Spaces
For this project, our interior design firm worked with furniture company Scandinavian Spaces to craft a showroom that would effectively display their products, match their brand identity, and encourage the Swedish concept of “fika,” the idea that one should sit and stay while conversing over a coffee and pastry.
We were inspired to look back to the company’s roots, leading to incorporate tile detail alongside raw columns, reminiscent of the Stockholm train stations. Along with this, the tranquil ceiling color paired with their playful furniture helps to foster a positive and mood-boosting effect for guests. Our Chicago interior design company’s goal was to craft the showroom so that it would blend forms and mix materials to push boundaries, much like the furniture of the company itself.
