Of Places and Sediments
In the conviction that every place deposits memories and stories and therefore has itself a story to tell, I am interested in historical evidence, how people move in space, what stories there are to tell of these places and how these can be carried on telling through my architecture. They emerge through collaborations with craftsmen, artists and researchers.
According to the ideas of the post growth economy, sustainable, social and climatic challenges are being sought with innovative processes and collaborations - Recycling, renunciation (sufficiency), local positioning, self made productions and climate-friendly implementation are central.
The works are based on a trust in the obvious, in the material and constructive simplicity. The nature of the materials, their structures, properties, changes and supporting techniques, brings together a variety of stories that, through an uncompromising architecture, opens up space for serenity and surprise.
The counter positions in the works encourage dialogues and promote more diversity, respect towards nature and social interaction. These co-existences in times of globalisation and unification offer resistance by anchoring of identities. From this, small ecosystems of new communities grow, small peripheral islands and experiments.
