MO-OF/ Mobile Offices is a design practice in Mumbai with a focus on Architecture, Urban Design, and Interior Design. The studio was founded in 2001 and is led by Partners - Shantanu Poredi (AA, London; C.E.P.T. India) and Manisha Agarwal (Cornell, New York; C.E.P.T. India).
The practice is deeply rooted in the core philosophy of enhancing the human experience in built spaces by providing a context-conscious architecture that is centered around social, cultural, and environmental sensibilities. The work engages in weaving rhetoric between the existing, the programmed, and nature; thereby creating spaces that allow inclusive, equitable, and sustainable communities to thrive.
MO-OF’s expansive portfolio spanning over the last two decades covers a diverse array of sectors, scales, and project types. These range from master planning and architecture of educational campuses, healthcare, residential, commercial, hospitality, and art and public exhibitions. This diversity has also facilitated a mix of clientele and agencies. Some of the firm's engagements involve working along with Government agencies such as the University Grants commission (U.G.C), Ministry of Human Resource Development (HRDA), and corporate clients such as REL, Tata housing, etc. to name a few.
