nmd architectural photography
nmd architectural photography is the pseudonymous for the architectural photographic work of the architect and photographer Nuno Matos Duarte.
Nuno Matos Duarte studied architecture at the Faculty of Architecture, University of Oporto (F.A.U.P.) where he obtained his degree in 1996. Worked as an architect since then, mainly as author of public building projects in Alentejo, Portugal. In 2011 began his advanced studies of photography, receiving post graduation degree in “Photography, Project and Contemporary Art” at the IPA-Atelier de Lisboa, in 2012, under the guidance of the photographers Daniel Blaufuks, Jem Southam and José Luis Neto, among others.
In September 2012 his photographic work was selected to the Encontros da Imagem Festival, Braga, Portugal. In September/ October 2012 his photographic series By Early Afternoon was shown at the Palácio Galveias in Lisbon in a collective exhibition titled VERDE.
At the present time, Nuno Matos Duarte lives and works in Lisbon.
