Sara Ricciardi was born in Benevento in 1989. She lives and works in Milan and studied in Milan, Istanbul and New York, graduating in 2015 from Naba - the New Academy of Fine Arts, in the Product Design Department. She opened her own studio 4 years ago where she designs products for companies, unique pieces for galleries, performances, interiors and installations.
Her approach is characterized by a deep narrative exploration: each aesthetics is the result of a precise story. Form follows message. Great poetic and formal research at the base of her method. Materials and processes are defined each time with the help of great masters of Italian craftsmanship. She is an excellent collector of bizarre items. Selected by Wallpaper together with officine Panerai among the finalists of Next Designer Generation 2018. In January, during Pitti 2019, she inaugurated her first concept store called “Eden”, thus opening a project dedicated to interior design, for the launch of the capsule collection of the brand Attico at the haute couture store Luisa Via Roma in Florence. Among the brands she has collaborated with: Visionnaire, Houtique, Coin Casa, Culti, Giorgetti.
The Triennale Design paid homage to Sara by including her among the Women of contemporary Italian design with the exhibition Women in Design. She is a member of the team The Ladies’ Room along with the designers Agustina Bottoni, Ilaria Bianchi and Astrid Luglio with whom she creates sensory projects for various galleries.
