Sordo Madaleno Arquitectos

Architects from Mexico City
Sordo Madaleno Arquitectos (SMA) is a Mexican firm founded in 1937 that has passed through three generations of the same family, each one in turn boosting its growth. It has won recognition as the hallmark of Modern Mexican Architecture in light of its invaluable contribution to architectural design in the country since it was founded.

Grupo Sordo Madaleno (GSM) encompasses the branches of Architecture and Real Estate Development, through which it also makes capital investments. The objectives of the Group are focused on the long-term and have been fruitful, bringing stability and renown to the firm. Since its foundation, it has acquired a reputation as a socially responsible company both in terms of society and the environment.

Over the years a team of over 120 professionals has been assembled, experts in different areas. Human warmth, professionalism, talent, effectiveness, and unity are believed in and prioritized. These aspects are continually demonstrated in the quality of the end product when the client is satisfied and grateful and becomes part of the family.

When a project arrives at the firm it is analyzed in great detail to boost its social, ethical, design and business value. This involves meeting the requirements but also expanding the program to cover opportunities the client may not have considered initially. At Sordo Madaleno, each project is treated as unique, and a personality is tailored to match it.
