Wasserfall Munting Architects Inc. is a young and dynamic architectural practice in Windhoek, Namibia. Formerly practising under the name Jaco Wasserfall Architects, its founding in April 2004 brought together the design talents and practical experience of Jaco Wasserfall and Paul Munting. For Jaco Wasserfall this followed an 11 year period as founding principal of the well-known Namibian practice, Architext. Paul Munting previously practised in Pretoria, South Africa, before deciding to settle in Namibia. Both are active members of the Namibian Institute of Architects and are registered with the Namibian Council for Architects and Quantity Surveyors. A truly Namibian firm, Wasserfall Munting Architects offers a wide range of professional skills and technical resources to its clients. The firm’s business philosophy is aimed at maintaining the full spectrum of management and professional skills at principal level, supported by the best technology available and a creative staff component. It’s design philosophy is always to try and go beyond the ordinaries of the project brief in an attempt to pursue the poetic and artistic dimensions of architecture. This overall focus on design excellence ensures the creation of contemporary yet appropriate architecture which is well grounded within the unique Namibian context.
