HG-A is Hyoung-gul Kook’s architectural design studio powered by LIVE COMPONENTS in Seoul, Korea. HG-A pursues creative architectural design which integrates space, material, geometry, site and users. HG-A has worked on architectural projects on a variety of scales from installations to buildings and urban design, with consideration for the human experience and sense of place as the most important things in the design process. HG-A likes to experiment with spatiality and materiality in designing innovative spaces. All design processes are driven by the progressive design research of LIVE COMPONENTS.
Hyoung-gul Kook is a licensed architect(AIA) and assistant professor(Ewha Womans University) at Ewha Womans University in Seoul. He received his Master of Architecture from Columbia University in New York and Barchelor of Science in Architectural engineering from Yonsei University in Seoul, Korea. He worked as architectural designer at Weiss/Manfredi Architecture/Landscape/Urbanism in New York.
