Pepe Gascón Arquitectura

Pepe Gascón (Barcelona, november 1973) Qualified as an Architect at ESARQ (Universitat Internacional de Catalunya) in 2002. Qualified as an Architectural Technologist at the EUPB (Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya) in 1997. Pending Engineering end-of-course project in Industrial Organisation at the EPSEB (Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya). In 2003 he establishes Pepe Gascón Arquitectura, a multidisciplinary consulting architecture that has a young and innovative team, which develops projects of architecture, urbanism and interior design. His work is oriented to both the public and private, and includes projects of varying scale and technical complexity. His work has been published and exhibited in numerous publications and exhibitions, national and international. We highlight the following prizes: 2014 The Barbeque House has been selected in the FAD Architecture and Interior Design awards. 2012 Selected in the Europe 40 Under 40 Awards 2012, organized by The European Centre for Architecture and Urban Studies, which annually recognizes 40 European architects under 40 years. Shortlist at the WA Awards 12th Cycle for the project Sant Miquel special education school. Awarded at The International Architecture Award, organized by The European Centre for Architecture and Urban Studies and The Chicago Athenaeum (Museum of Architecture and Design) for the project Sant Miquel special education school in Sant Feliu de Llobregat (Barcelona). Shortlist at The 2012 Emirates Glass LEAF Awards for the project Sant Miquel special education school in Sant Feliu de Llobregat (Barcelona) in the category refurbishment of the year. The award ceremony will be held in September in London and it will culminate in the announcement of this year's winners. Silver medal at the International Design Awards IDA'11, Los Angeles, California (USA) in the renovation category, for the project Sant Miquel special education school in Sant Feliu de Llobregat (Barcelona). 2010 Honorary mention at the 10th 2010 Costa Rica International Architecture Biennial, organized by the Colegio de Arquitectos de Csota Rica, in the built urban design category for the project Squares in Puigcerdà (Girona). Selected at the 6th Rosa Barba European Landscape Prize, organized by the COAC (Col·legi Oficial d'Arquitectes de Catalunya) for the project Squares in Puigcerdà (Girona). 2009 Gold medal at the 2009 Miami + Beach Biennial, organized by the American Institute of Architects (FAIA, IIDA), in the Landscape Architecture category, for the project Squares in Puigcerdà (Girona). 2008 Selected for the Premis Catalunya Construcció, organized by the Col·legi d'Aparelladors i Arquitectes Tècnics de Barcelona, for the project Can Figueras in El Vendrell (Tarragona). 2007 Finalist at the 4th Bienal d'Arquitectura del Vallès (4BAV), organized by the Vallès chapter of the COAC (Col·legi Oficial d'Arquitectes de Catalunya), for the project Attic in Terrassa (Barcelona). 1997 Second place at the PFC Architectural Technologist Prize, organized by EUPB (Escola Universitaria Politècnica de Barcelona, Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya), for the project rehabilitate the abandoned village of Sauvanyà (Lleida). 1995 Joint first prize in the Technal Ibérica Architectural Awards, organized by TECHNAL and EUPB (Escola Universitaria Politècnica de Barcelona, Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya).
