Bruag's perforated facade allows for the creation of customized exterior walls through the use of laser-cut designs. A selection of thousands of shapes, patterns, and colors are offered to achieve a unique aesthetic.
Materials
Cellon® panels are constructed from high-pressure laminate. These panels consist of 70% cellulose fibers and 30% phenolic resin, making them ideal for outdoor applications due to their exceptional weather and frost resistance. Compared to conventional HPL panels, Cellon® offers a wider variety of shapes and colors and a more natural aesthetic. This is achieved by applying the color directly to the resin, forming the top layer. This ensures that the chosen color scheme is the focal point, rather than a sterile resin surface.

Customization
The selection of specific panel width (x) and length (y) is available within the provided raw format dimensions. Round cuts and additional cut-outs can be accommodated. To achieve this level of customization, a DXF plan outlining your desired design should be provided.

Perforated facade panels are available in 3,000 colors. In addition to RAL, NCS S and metallic colors (IGP, Bruag Alu, DB), there is also a wide selection of decors in stone or wood.

Laser cutting
Individual panel designs are achievable through the use of laser-cutting technology. Customers can either create their own designs or select a pattern from the available collection, which has been specifically optimized for facade applications.
Construction solutions
Due to the open areas of a perforated facade made of Cellon® , the layer behind it may have to meet higher requirements, such as wind and weather protection. Should the normal stress be exceeded, the following common facade systems can be used:
-UV-resistant facade membranes
-as a double ventilated facade
-as complement/refurbishment
The design of the perforated façade can run through the entire façade surface and does not necessarily have to be interrupted in the construction areas. Depending on the design, it may be that the substructure becomes visible through the openings, which can disturb the perception of the image. To avoid this, either the panel can be highlighted by a strong contrast to the substructure and the wall or only a punctual attachment can be used.

Multiple Dwelling Messer Solothurn
This project demonstrates the intricate design that can be achieved using Bruag's perforated elements. The residential and office building in Solothurn boasts a monolithic structure with sculptural character. The facade is adorned with an ornamentation of the perforated screen, which contrasts with the vast exposed concrete surface and imparts a sense of lightness and transparency. The organically perforated surfaces serve to reduce the heavy appearance of the concrete. Moreover, the CELLON panels have been laid without any bars, ensuring consistency in the perforation pattern and reinforcing the spacious appearance of the facade. The two materials used in the building - concrete and CELLON panels - offer a striking contrast that highlights each other's unique features.
