As one of the only non-denominational cemeteries in the area, this local cemetery has been serving the community since 1852. The staff had outgrown the functionality of the existing administration office, a double-wide semi-permanent structure that was over 40 years old, and requested a new building be designed.
The proposed program included appropriate space for meeting with families, holding board meetings, showcasing merchandise, and intimate spaces of peace and reflection. The building has been designed and constructed to last many centuries with elemental and resilient materials including cedar, limestone, bronze, and zinc.
