The upcoming arrival of the Grand Paris Express BVC (Bry-Villiers-Champigny) train station made it possible to create a transport link in eastern Paris. Perfectly connected to the metropolitan networks, the ZAC Marne-Europe and Boutareines urban project possesses several advantages that will help create a dynamic economic hub and a pleasant living area on the territory of the Marne meander.
The project imagines a contemporary neighborhood opened onto Villiers-sur-Marne and the neighboring cities; an animated neighborhood that reflects both economic activity and urban vitality, a permeable and smooth neighborhood structured by a series of generous public spaces with multiple qualities and atmospheres that favor gatherings and sharing between neighbors. The structure of the built spaces and the geometry of the blocks form a green corridor and a northern/southern pedestrian connection that links two of the district’s major equipments: the BVC train station and the Congress Centre. This soft link with a strong potential for integration, is the natural alter ego of the boulevard. Referred to as the “green promenade”, it is a factor in the site’s overall attractiveness thanks to the manner in which the equipment and buildings are staged. It constitutes the heart of the new centrality.
Through the mixed nature of the functions, the presence of structuring equipments, a diverse commercial offer, the new neighborhood has everything to become an important urban site, a true life hub for its inhabitants, employees and visitors.
