VIPE 201

Located on one of the main avenues in Manaus, in the state of Amazonas (Brazil) the VIPE 201 commercial building, designed by Vipe Arquitetura, brings to the city an architectural proposal with a unique language, combined with an attentive approach to thermal comfort.
The project uses materials selected to adapt to local conditions, reducing the need for frequent maintenance. The construction uses prefabricated concrete pieces, corten steel panels and extensive vertical vegetation, which takes center stage on the façades.

The building's structure consists of just six pillars and three continuous slabs. The main façade, facing west, is equipped with large prefabricated brises that regulate the entry of natural light.

The internal spaces are delimited by recessed glass planes and their transparency promotes a constant visual connection between the interior and exterior, integrating the building with the city. Natural lighting is enhanced by strategic openings at the ends of the slabs, allowing the light to reach the vegetation in the planters and brises. In addition, solar panels installed on the structure contribute to the building's energy efficiency.

The vegetation, made up of species such as tumbergias, guaimbês, singônios, jabuticabeiras, dinheiro-em-penca and yellow alamandas, brings life and color to the urban environment, offers thermal comfort to the interior spaces and establishes a harmonious dialogue with the trees already on the land.

In the internal areas, the open-plan configuration allows flexibility for the creation of multiple programs and layouts.

On the first floor, there are nine more commercial rooms, waiting areas and toilets. The second floor has been reserved for the project's own office, with reception, living room, workstations, meeting room, pantry, toilets, bathroom, storage room and an outdoor relaxation area.
