Apartment in Double Bay II is a playful renovation of a 1970s apartment situated on heritage-listed grounds. For clients who have owned the apartment since its conception, the renovation was conscious of the 1970s architecture that prevailed in the home - a 45 year old, untouched developer display suite still adored by our clients. A Pavilion for Peace In recent times, with wars escalating worldwide,this pavilion aims to draw attention to Peace.Does this sound naive, simplistic, or even foolish?We fear that some may perceive it that way.   In this sense, this Pavilion aims to provoke through a theme that should not inherently be provocative. A private indoor pool house with gym, sauna, and changing facilities. The minimalist, restrained architectural design of the pool building ties into the more traditional forms of the existing residence using light concrete to mimic the tones of the houses’ schist stone cladding. Nestled within a serene suburban landscape, the single-storey concrete home seeks to blend with the landscape rather than stick out. Furthermore, it seeks to embody a harmonious blend of functionality and aesthetic appeal, offering an ideal sanctuary for a modern family. Caption Caption The centrepiece of the home is a central long, tall passage, aptly referred to as the gallery, which both divides and connects various living spaces. Natural light streams in through the clerestory windows as well as through the central garden atrium. Les Jeurs House, named after the hamlet overlooking the road to the Col de la Forclaz, is a project that is rooted in local memory through its interpretation of the form and scale of neighbouring traditional buildings. Joël Tettamanti Like the typical Valais granaries, it consists of a stone base upon which a dark timber volume is raised above ground level. Since the construction of a single, large volume would have disrupted the harmony of scale of the location, the building is divided into two parts. These are connected by the entrance on the mountain side and face the valley at an angle of 45 degrees. In 2019 a large timber restaurant is built south of the new town Almere. The building’s special volume is smoothly constructed with cross laminated timber. In 2023 the building will be expanded with two hotel wings. Again, CLT seems the best material for the job. Mirck Architecture The two straight wings will frame the existing building. Between the new hotel wings and the zigzagging facade of the former restaurant, green courtyards offer also pleasant outside spaces for the guests. Located in the park of the Bavarian capital, created for the 1972 Olympic games, the campus houses the Department of Sport and Health Sciences of the Technical University of Munich (TUM). The slogan of the Olympic games, ›Light, freshness and generosity‹ represents also our design. The airy, pavilion-like spacious building made of wood and glass provides a clear layout for the various research, training and sports facilities. Its slender outline – 180 meters long and 150 meters wide – fits sensitively into the master plan of Behnisch & Partner. On the loosely built-up outskirts of the Lake Constance community of Lochau, we have built a modern residential quarter. In close cooperation with the municipality, the design advisory board and the neighbours, we achieved a careful and well thought-out densification. Spread over four buildings, we created 20 light-flooded flats with generous outdoor spaces. Albrecht I. Schnabel Different typologies provide a high-quality home for singles, couples and families.
