Neri&Hu’s Sanya Wellness Retreat is inspired by an ancient Chinese walled city
Das Sanya Wellness Retreat befindet sich in der Haitang-Bucht auf der Insel Hainan, einem beliebten chinesischen Urlaubsziel im Südchinesischen Meer. Das von dem in Shanghai ansässigen Büro Neri&Hu Design and Research Office entworfene Wellness-Retreat ist von der Majestät einer alten chinesischen Stadtmauer inspiriert - auf einem Sockel errichtete Holzpavillons waren normalerweise zum Schutz von Wasser umgeben. Der Entwurf von Neri&Hu besteht daher aus zwei Teilen: einem großen hölzernen Gebäude mit Gästezimmern und einem gemauerten Sockel, der verschiedene öffentliche Räume und Annehmlichkeiten enthält.
