Louis Poulsen’s new LP Slim Round Series offers a crisp, geometric and versatile solution for modern interior
Louis Poulsen is pleased to present the LP Slim Round family of circular luminaires, whose distinctive, slim design ensures a consistent visual identity across a range of sizes and mounting options. The series was conceived to seamlessly integrate as a subtle and comfortable general lighting tool while adding design and character to a broad range of application and architectural spaces, particularly open-plan environments such as offices, reception areas, and frontof- house spaces. The product family features a palette of details carefully developed to provide subtle identity to the product and the spaces it is used in.
Louis Poulsen designed and developed the LP Slim Round based on an analytical design process with a natural and logical progress that builds on the collective experience, market understanding and market inputs harnessed from all areas of the global organization. “Every aspect of the LP Slim Round is based on our understanding of architectural and design needs in various spaces,” says Rasmus Markholt, Idea & Design Director at Louis Poulsen. “We sought a form with a very clear identity – yet the versatility to be adaptable for all kinds of applications. Working closely with architects and designers, we have developed the LP Slim Round range in a many variants with four different, easy mounting options and a range of colour options – all in a slender, modern profile that reflects a clean, modern and engaging aesthetic.”
Using high-efficiency, mid-power LEDs, the LP Slim Round series emits diffused light via a high-efficiency acrylic diffuser. The glowing front has an even luminance ensuring that each individual LED cannot be seen. The diffuser is offset from the housing with a small shadow gap. On the suspended version, reflected light from diffuser creates indirect light above the luminaire. A micro-prismatic option for low glare and UGR<19 is available. The LED board is replaceable, and the LED can be selected in a range of standard CCTs. Kelvin-adjustable version available for controlling Kelvin temperature using DALI type 8 (Europe).
The LP Slim Round Series will become available in September 2017.
