Product description

The end grain look is experiencing a renaissance and is being used increasingly in furniture and interior design once again. End grain is also being increasingly used in flooring, too. Even so, such floors are not particularly easy to install and come with their own set of maintenance issues as well.
End grain floors are almost exclusively made of solid wood and require glue-down installation. They come in a small format and have swelling and shrinkage properties. As a result, significant joints develop during the winter.
On the other hand, Carré uses a three-layer structure and has all of the strengths of finished parquet. Twelve large end grain elements (about 18 cm x 18 cm) sit on a bottom layer of boards and can be installed using a floating or glue-down method.
