It is hand made of matte black steel, hand satined brass and with a 1/4" thick, round disk for the base plate which is solid mahogany in a matte ebony stain. The bulb is a 60 watt globe and the unit is operated by a full range, touch-sensitive dimmer switch. (Touch the lamp on any place to activate the switch.)
