Chelsea Loft

The gut-renovation of a 3,000 square foot apartment in Manhattan. Everything was done to maintain the existing unblemished 12' ceilings and either light from the floor or from backlit white glass sliding panels and the internally lit white glass Kitchen counter. New floors are poured white terrazzo throughout. New front windows are vertical, center-pivotting, steel famed 1930's sections, white powder-coated. The Japanese Soaking tub is by a Japanese Master Craftsman, fabricated in Hinoki scented wood. The furniture was started from a small collection of vintage Scandinavian pieces that the Clients already owned. This was padded out with American Knoll pieces from the 1950's and other vintage furniture purchased with the Client whilst shopping for the Project in Copenhagen.
