In the central area of Amsterdam Southeast a metropolitan and spectacular entertainment centre will be designed called 'GETZ'. This so-called 'mixed use centre', including retail, catering industry, leisure, several types of entertainment, a hotel and a culture cluster forms, with its stacked squares and special architectural elements, the main core of the 'ArenA boulevard'. The project was designed by the American architectural firm The Jerde Partnership in collaboration with OeverZaaijer architecture and urbanism as a local advisor for the coordination and execution of the project. Programme: 27.000 m2 retail, 5.000 m2 catering industry, 29.000 m2 entertainment functions, such as a casino, disco, bowling and fitness. 1.000 m2 culture cluster, 13.000 m2 hotel, 2.100 parking places
