Carlos Alberto Molina was born in Colombia and arrived in Los Angeles in 2000. He pursued an education in architecture in Colombia and completed it in Europe, specifically Italy and Spain. He obtained a master’s degree in Restoration of Historic Buildings at the Polytechnic University of Madrid. During his years of study in Europe he lived in cities such as Perugia, Florence and Madrid. This experience made a great impact on his vision of architecture and painting, his two great passions, and awoke in him a great interest in the subject of the city as a dynamic and living organism. In his many exhibitions in Los Angeles he uses his innovative technique of watercolor to shape an environment where the contemporary city needs streets to be rich in space and to generate urban life. From his studio in Los Angeles he proposes to bring that sensitivity to spaces, allowing the contemplation of the natural and using to its potential the geographic and environmental conditions of the environment. From a formal perspective he proposes a new vision of creating architecture that contains traditional values but boldly proposes to create “new spaces as vessels of life” in the new millennium.
