Theateradvies bv is a theatre consulting firm based in Amsterdam. As a theatre consultant we are working on performance spaces in theatre's, concerthalls, pop venues, museums and schools. We advise architects and other consultants during the design of cultural buildings, we do planning, design of the stage equipment, European tendering and we do feasibility studies for clients.
Theateradvies offers practical support to architects taking part in architecture competitions for public buildings including theatres, concert halls, conference centres, pop music venues and museums. We provide advice on every aspect of making a building efficient and effective as a public building, thereby increasing the chance of winning the competition. We also support project developers and we are regularly included as part of the team in 'design and build’ tenders.
Theateradvies has been a member of the winning team for such prestigious competitions as the "Boris Eifman Dance Palace" in St. Petersburg, Russia (UN Studio), “Birmingham Library and Repertory Theatre” in England (Mecanoo architecten), “Wei-Wu-Ying Performing Arts Center” in Kaohsiung, Taiwan (Mecanoo architecten) and “Centre Culturel et Administratif” in Montreal, Canada (de Architekten Cie).
