Located in the beautiful Town of Oakville, Distrikt's Trailside is designed for an elevated lifestyle imbued with fine dining, world-class shopping, lush surroundings and luxury living. Figure3 designed its presentation centre with a casual hospitality feel instead of high-pressure, while still exhibiting the luxurious and timeless quality of the condo.
The design direction is elegant yet inviting, with emphasis on comfort for potential buyers, as seen in the speakeasy-style lounge. Fashion house (specifically the Ted Baker brand) is the inspiration, with the combination of strong patterns and large floral decorative prints that reimagine a traditional style. Guests enter into the sales area, immediately feeling what it would be like to enter the condo’s elegant and comforting lobby and amenity spaces. The design and approach has been very effective with 75% of units sold within the first two months of the presentation centre opening.
Bold finishes such as gold faceted tables and black and white marble add to the sophistication and timelessness of the setting. The millwork archway with bookcase proved an ideal threshold between the entrance space and the speakeasy lounge, where coffee and tea is served for one-on-one conversations in a relaxed setting. On the way to the vignettes and finish boards, a working model of the condo’s personal artificial intelligence assistant, Distrikt AI, is featured for visitors to interact with. This helps guests experience what it would be like to call Trailside home; smart living, secure and connected. A custom model table was designed to mechanically tilt toward the front window as a feature display, so passersby could be intrigued even after office hours.
