The layout of each floor was adapted to the needs and requests of the various groups.  Meeting spaces, from the most conventional to the most informal, café/bistro areas, a cafeteria that can accommodate 65 people and a “games room” were among the must-haves.

Employees were consulted during the design process, which allowed them to feel involved in the big change that was coming and to bring out key points that would be crucial for the design phase. It was felt that the space had to be warm, friendly, and reminiscent of nature.

This ambiance begins as soon as one enters the reception area.  The combination of light wood and bright accents creates an inviting and unique look. In the open areas, the light wood is still present and brings a warm feel. Touches of green here and there throughout the space, in murals and details such as perforated felt, recall the leaves of trees.

On each floor, informal meeting areas, with sofas and chairs, are set up to encourage exchanges and discussions. These areas are separated by bookcases allowing users to have some privacy and leaving room for plants and accessories.

Finally, the cafeteria, with its pergola-inspired wooden beams and wood panels with climbing plants, has an outdoor terrace feel. Equipped with a beverage dispenser with beer brewed by one of the employees, the cafeteria is furnished with easily movable furniture, which makes it easy to transform the space for gatherings and events.

Its Montreal offices were located in two very different buildings in the heart of downtown Montreal.  The client wanted to reorganize its operations under one roof while remaining in a centralized strategic location.

The client having pre-selected a few buildings, Conceptum’s first task was to propose layouts that would meet their needs. The client chose 800 de Maisonneuve, more than 60,000 square feet, spread over 4 floors, and able to accommodate all 400 employees.
