CF + D | custom fireplace design como Fireplace Manufacturer

This extraordinary Custom 3-Sided Fireplace with Corten Steel Rusted Hood and Stone Façade is a work of art realized for a residential project in North York, Ontario, Canada. CF + D | Custom Fireplace Design Inc. worked closely with Studio V By Design to design and fabricate the custom fireplace which exceeded client expectations through design, installation, and aesthetics. The finished fireplace measures 60” wide by 32” high and 24” deep with a custom guillotine glass door system and is fueled by natural gas.

 

Due to the size and weight of this one-of-a-kind custom fireplace - which also included a custom corten steel hood facade - CF + D included in the manufacturing of this unique model a wall support frame and lift system. These components were necessary for positioning the custom hood on-site to ensure stability once the fireplace was installed. CF + D also custom manufactured the ceiling trim to close the ceiling around the stainless steel fireplace venting components that pass through the roof allowing for the chimney venting.

Some of the structural steel components of this fireplace had to be welded together on-site as they were simply too large to send attached. This also helped to ensure the interior frame would hold the weight of the custom hood and stone finish.

 

From concept to completion this project was truly an honor to be a part of for our client alongside a trusted industry collogue.
