Transforming dark classrooms and narrow hallways into a pet-friendly, open and airy office for employees and their four-legged companions is no easy feat. Yet, this is exactly the challenge LRS Architects design team undertook as part of a complete transformation of a 35,000 square foot technical institute campus for Vetsource. Purpose Investments is located in downtown Toronto, Canada. The design of the Purpose offices is inspired by the idea of a line of thought.  The concept of line vs. solid and void, is explored throughout the design in various forms.  The lobby lounge is an area carved out between solids that is knitted together with crisscrossing lines.  It functions as the social hub for the workplace,  offering relaxing, regenerating and collaboration space for the teams. A new 100,000-square-foot Orchard Mesa Middle School opened its doors in December 2019. BG+co. was tasked by Mesa County School District 51 to deliver an awe-inspiring and inviting educational space where students and teaching staff look forward to being at. Opened in November 2019, Jean Hofmann Centre for Innovation is a two-story, 17,500 sf modern learning centre that is part of Carondelet High School. Nestled in Framingham’s suburban Nobscot neighbourhood is a spectacular new library that is drawing visitors of all ages. The 17,000 square foot Christa McAuliffe Library officially opened on May 15, 2016 and now holds over 65,000 books. The restaurant is located in via Bellezia 24, between Piazza della Repubblica and piazza Emanuele Filiberto, where the largest open market in Europe is held. The building that houses the restaurant is part of the third Baroque extension of the historic district of Porta Palazzo, which faithfully reproduced the Juvarrian design of the north-west part throughout the 18th century. The concept of the Crystal Park Tower residential complex project is a combination of quiet nature and residential buildings near the park named after Pushkin in the center of the capital. Therefore, our task was to emphasize with light the natural component inside the residential complex, which makes it one whole with the surrounding park environment. We avoided excessive daylight, which contributes to the light pollution of the domain. M Pavilion is located in the lobby of an office building in Xuhui District, Shanghai, a coffee shop design commissioned by the Chinese famous coffee brand M Stand. In order not to disturb the daily operations of the building, we proposed two strategies at the beginning of the design process: a rapid construction and a light touch to the site. Commune Modern (囍逸) is a residential property in Fanling, Hong Kong. The building's main entrance is highlighted by Flexglo™ F23 LED light strips. The light fixture has a compact sectional size of 10mm*10mm, meaning it is ideal for installation in tight space.
