A villa where simplicity of shapes becomes originality and elegance. Baden-Württemberg is one of the sixteen German federal states, located in the southwest, at the border with France and Switzerland. The region is known for its rich and modern economy, such that it’s considered one of the economic driving forces of the whole Germany. Para el proyecto de construcción de Chesa Akelei se diseñaron cuatro lujosos pisos en una ubicación especialmente privilegiada. La primera preocupación del arquitecto Andreas Venzin fue conciliar las hermosas vistas con el respeto a la intimidad de los que allí vivían. The contemporary architecture of the villa is composed by a shape sorter of volumes, spaces and openings, all in the name of clean shapes. The Creativo model in warm shade and slightly iridescent of Bianco Conchiglia, covers the lower floor and the high volumes that develop vertically from it to support the large terrace. The Creativo model is laid dry in a mix of large and small elements, in the same proportions. Architects Francois Hannes and Tom Kneepkens renovated the villa, drawing inspiration from 1960s James Bond films and American 1950s and 60s aesthetics. Hannes focused on the interiors, considering sight lines and light incidence, while Kneepkens reinvented the exteriors, designing bespoke interior spaces for the residents, blending everything into a stunning whole. The design of this residential building is characterized by the presence of three patios, each one having different sizes and functions. The first one we encounter coming from outside separates the master part from the services one. Inside the house the spaces are arranged around a central patio, which is covered by a large skylight. This space contributes to the internal climate well-being, allowing for the natural ventilation of the internal spaces during the summer months and providing solar gains in winter periods. A third patio is dedicated exclusively to the bathroom area.
