3 Days of Design

Klubiensvej 22, 2100 København Ø, Denmark, kbh, Denmark
In a unique collaboration, top design companies invite everyone to go beyond the façade and explore the treasures of design furniture, lighting and objects in Copenhagen. 3daysofdesign presents three days of events and happenings, live workshops, product launches, exhibitions and talks on design. Join in the celebration of designer Børge Mogensen’s 100th birthday, enjoy jazz on the waterfront, hear talks by leading designers, discover new products, have a drink at a 1950s party, experience craftsmen at work and much more. The initiative to present 3daysofdesign is taken by a handful of companies from Pakhus 48, a warehouse in the industrial free port in Copenhagen, which features permanent showrooms by leading design companies. "We have successfully held '3 days of design' for companies in Pakhus 48 and want to use that as a springboard to launch a major design event. Our goal is to eventually create an annual event to attract international attention to the many great Danish and foreign brands represented in Copenhagen", says Michael Anker and Joakim Lassen, co-founders of 3daysofdesign. The event 3daysofdesign now includes designer showrooms in the maritime neighbourhood Christianshavn, stores situated in the majestic street of Bredgade and the cobblestoned streets in the City Centre, as well as Frihavnen, with its rustic and industrial feel. “We decided to primarily utilise Copenhagen’s unique waterways as means of transportation. Visitors are invited to use the 3daysofdesign harbour-boats for free and dock at various points to discover show rooms and exhibitions and gain insights to the unique design environments of Copenhagen”, says Signe Byrdal Terenziani, curator of the event. “To enhance the design discovery experience, visitors are provided with a booklet, made in collaboration with GamFratesi design Studio, which will guide visitors to explore some of the bests design sites in town”, Signe Byrdal Terenziani continues. 3daysofdesign goes behind the facade – join us!
