Archtober is the first-ever month-long festival of architecture and design in New York City. Exhibitions, programs, tours, and other activities are taking place every day throughout the month of October 2013. Entering its third year, the city-wide festival of architecture activities, programs, and exhibitions will take place October 1-31, 2013. Archtober’s curated calendar features more than 180 architecture and design lectures, conferences, programs, and exhibitions – a new section this year – happening at the Center for Architecture and collaborating institutions across the city. One of Archtober’s distinctive features is the breadth of its collaborating organizations, which range from established institutions like the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum and the Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum, to start-ups like Bring to Light: Nuit Blanche New York and Designers & Books Fair. This diversity captures the unique spirit of New York’s design world.
