About the awards The Copper in Architecture Awards promote and reward excellence in design by architects. To be eligible, all entries must incorporate cladding, roofing or other architectural elements of copper (bright, oxidised and patinated) or copper alloys, such as bronze and brass. (Note: Copper coatings or metals coated onto copper are not eligible). Shortlisted projects will be announced and promoted during June 2015, The Overall Winner, Commended projects and Public Choice Winner will be announced at a dedicated event later in the year. All winning and commended projects will feature in extensive press coverage around Europe, as well as inclusion in a special Awards publication and coverage on the CopperConcept website. A selection of entries will be displayed at the presentation ceremony. Architectural design award The Awards are for recently completed buildings (between January 2013 and April 2015) across Europe, incorporating copper or copper alloy cladding, roofing or other architectural elements. Winner’s Prize: a bronze replica Cycladic sculpture. Shortlisted and winning projects will be widely promoted to an international audience. Architects and critics – drawn from a panel including some of the most influential designers in Europe – will judge all the entries on their architectural qualities from graphic submissions. They should include, or be accompanied by, a project description of approximately 250 words and the completed entry form identifying the name of the project and the entrant. Digital versions of all images (minimum 300dpi on CD) must accompany each entry, together with a Word document of the project description. Entrants may submit more than one entry. Photocopies of the entry form will be accepted. Entries and supporting materials will be retained by Copper in Architecture. The judges' decision will be final and no correspondence will be allowed. Completed entry forms, A1 boards and CDs should be sent to Copper in Architecture to arrive no later than 30th April 2015.
