NOVE NOVOS – NEUN NEUE. Emerging Architects from Brazil

The Brazilian office METRO Arquitetos Associados integrates the exhibition "NOVE NOVOS – NEUN NEUE. Emerging Architects from Brazil" which happens between 9/21 and 1/12/2014 in the Deutsches Architektur museum (DAM), in Frankfurt. The exhibit will feature panels, models and videos about the work of nine significant offices from Brazil in the main room of the museum, and will occur parallel to the most important book fair in the world – the Frankfurter Buchmesse 2013 –, which this year will honor the South-American country. The projects presented by METRO Architects will be the Chocolate Museum, the New Leme Gallery”, and the expography of the “30th Bienal de São Paulo - The Imminence of Poetics”, all linked to the cultural area. In order to look into the new Brazilian architectural production, the show displays residences, administrative buildings, sports facilities, commercial buildings and museums. A special area in the exhibition will be dedicated to Inhotim Institute (http://www.inhotim.org.br), where recently numerous galleries were designed by young architects, each dedicated to a specific group of works. Besides METRO Arquitetos, the exhibition will present works from offices as Arquitetos Associados, BCMF Arquitetos and Rizoma Arquitetura, from Belo Horizonte, Nitsche Arquitetos and Corsi Hirano Arquitetos, both from Sao Paulo, Jacobsen Arquitetura and Carla Joaçaba, from Rio de Janeiro, and Estúdio Paralelo, from Porto Alegre. The exhibition it’s curated by Peter Cachola Schmal, Ricardo Ohtake and Fernando Serapião, organized by Funarte-Brazil with the collaboration of the Instituto Tomie Ohtake.
