The World Interiors Meeting 2013 which takes place from 5 to 7 September in the iconic Beurs van Berlage in Amsterdam, is the first international congress specifically dedicated to interior architecture and design. Interior professionals from all over the globe come to Amsterdam to meet and debate the past, present and future of interiors. World Interiors Meeting is primarily aimed at international professionals working in or related to the interiors discipline; interior architects, interior designers, architects, designers, conservationists, historians, curators, producers, suppliers, educators and researchers get together for three days. Broad range of themes: from heritage and sustainability to trends & future. World Interiors Meeting places interior design in a broader context and highlights the historic, cultural, artistic and economic importance of interiors. In 20 theme sessions international experts and top designers reflect on all topical issues in the profession and participate with delegates to identify the role of design; in reflecting the identity of its users (lifestyle), in being accommodating and social (care), on sustainability (re-use), on being responsible (health, safety), on representing a considerable economic value (construction, furnishing, financing) and as a significant bearer of culture (heritage, multiculturality). To meet and connect are central during the congress. Professionals from all around the world will network and discuss the latest developments and trends. With 6 key-notes including Michael Braungart (DE), Karan Grover (IN) and Eloy Koldeweij (NL) and over 70 speakers, debates, workshops and presentations even the most experienced professional will be inspired.
