The Inspiration Behind The Moderne Collection by Philippe David: “I drew the different sets of lines with crayons. Racine’s curves are a take on the natural marks left by water on a sandy beach. It is also meant to evoke a Zen garden or the streamlined shapes of modernist architecture in Palm Springs. Germain features a diamond design inspired by Caribbean and African geometric patterns. Lastly, Tournon is a play of interrupted lines, like random needles, which have fallen from a pine on a Greek island.” – Philippe David
