Villa Davis

Visionnaire en tant que Fabricants.

This is one of the latest “made to measure” projects realized by Visionnaire.

A mansion covering over 900 square metres plus an outdoor area with swimming pool, tennis court and gym.

“The house was completely taken to pieces and renovated” - says Eleonore Cavalli, art director of Visionnaire. “We have furnished the entire project from the living room to lighting, the sleeping areas and the outdoor area.

The client’s request was “simply” to break out of the mould of a furnishing scheme which, for too long has called the shots in Los Angeles. We managed to excite him, because amazing people and creating bespoke projects is in our DNA. On entering the house, you are greeted by an imposing thirty-horn “Brunilde” chandelier, one of

the most representative and historical products in our collection.

We made it to measure in this decidedly XXXL size to fill the double height of the entrance with a precious finish in black nickel which, like a sculpture piece, dialogues with the interesting collection of contemporary art put together by the developer. In general, the lights are among the undisputed protagonists of this project. They play a fundamental role because of their unique “mise en scene” ability, such as, for example, the Bird chandeliers, in crystal glass and adorned with cock feathers in the white and black version for the bedrooms, or the Brando chandelier, a 32-light fixture with lampshades in velvet onyx, able to create an enveloping and at the same time warm and natural atmosphere, which we used in the dining area. One of the rooms which amused me most, was most definitely the cinema room. For this environment we chose the Reymond sofa, one of the most “technological” pieces of our living room proposal, being equipped with an internal mechanism to adjust the inclination of the headrest and the depth of the seat by remote control. We used it in both the “sofa” and the “armchair” versions, arranging it in three rows and surrounded by the “Amanda” wall lights, designed by Philippe Montels, a tribute to the designer Paco Rabanne in which the aluminium bars are enveloped in light, just like an haute-couture dress”.
