Rehabilitation project of a building from the first half of the 19th century, located in the historic district of Santa Catarina in Lisbon.
Over time, the building has been object of some interventions, usually dissonating and little articulated with its original character.


The goal for the intervention, was to harmonize the entire language, respecting or even recovering some traditional elements such as the wooden shutters, tiles and a solid stone sink, and also adding all the necessary functions for its future use as a tourist accommodation.


The building has the following programme distribution: 1 T0 on -1 level; 5 suites located between ground floor and 1st floor; 1 T1 on 2nd floor.
Materials such as handmade tiles, terrazo countertops and some microcement floors mark the new interventions in bathrooms and kitchens, and integrate the colour palette chosen later in the decoration.
