While designing bungalow from the North – West corner we didn’t wanted any boxy appearance or overpowering structure, so we carved out some volumes from North-West and played with a combination of solids, voids and frames. We have stretched some of the volumes on South side to create a self-shaded structure for North Side activities. So, by doing so all the terrace gardens on north side can be utilized even during the afternoon time. We have provided maximum openings on North, East, & West side and very minimal openings on the south side so that the heat doesn’t travel inside and the bungalow remains cool naturally. The planning of the Bungalow intricately weaves together an open-concept floor plate on ground floor which is seamlessly connected to other private areas on upper floors. A high compound wall with planter bed on top has been cladded with WPC wooden planks and MCM cladding. This creates an atmosphere of both comfort and elegance.

We have planned maximum activities in such a way that they are connecting to Gardens which permits interaction with nature and also inviting natural light and ventilation. We have planned the internal and external spaces in such a way that every activities are visually connected inviting adequate natural light throughout the day. This resulted in minimal Frame house with pergolas provided at different levels composed with a proportional play of solids and voids.

A sliding fluted glass door ensures privacy while maintaining connectivity with common areas. The space showcases stone veneer ceilings, relwood fluted wall panels, wooden blinds, and cement grey tiles. An olive green Italian leather sofa and two light grey king-size chairs enhance the luxurious theme. The room opens to a picturesque garden, seamlessly blending indoor elegance with outdoor beauty.

The master bedroom follows the circular and curved design language with the use of shades of browns and greys. The unique feature of this bedroom is the curved backdrop of bed adorned with wooden fluted panels. The rope pattern MCM cladding in the backdrop of half-round mirror and bed headboards goes all the way to the ceiling highlighting the space in a unique way.

The pastel yellow recliner chair with coffee table adds a rich contrast & creates a cozy corner within the room. A large opening has been provided on the west side to fetch adequate natural light and for the privacy purpose we have designed MS screen which creates a beautiful play of light and shadow during the evening hours.

The second floor hosts leisure spaces, including a home theatre, gym, Jacuzzi, and a semi-covered terrace garden. The gym, placed on the east for morning light, features mirrored storage and wooden flooring. The 50’ terrace garden with an MS pergola gazebo is a favorite family retreat. The home theatre, with step-arranged recliner beds for 8-10 people, uses acoustic panels and carpeting for soundproofing. The Jacuzzi, with a spa-like ambiance, blends simplicity and luxury.

In a nutshell, this bungalow is an epitome of combining luxuries and soothing colors to create a timeless architecture and interiors. We really haven’t played with the colors, it’s basically the shades of greys, browns, with a pinch of green. The experimentation of materials like stone veneer, wooden fluted panels, and MCM with different forms has ultimately created a unique identity in this House of Frames.
