Christ.Christ. associated architects GmbH is a Wiesbaden based company for architecture, planning and design.
The company’s projects range from administration- and industrial buildings to residential buildings, exhibition stands and design, emergency housing, interior design and energy consultancy.
The basis of our activities is the opinion that the quality of our built environment has an essential influence on the quality of our life.
Within the limits of our social responsibility and the needs of our clients we try to find an adequate and coherent solution for each project. We have an open-end design approach unhindered by preconceived notions of form and aesthetics.
We believe that understanding and identifying the task as well as questioning the given definition of a project are the essential conditions to accomplish our work.
Sustainability, conserving resources and ecological designs are an integral part of our thinking.
Our office is the leading member of an interdisciplinary network of architects, structural engineers, electrical engineers, HVAC planners and landscape architects. We are available, together with these partners, as an experienced and competent contact for the client in the development and execution of projects.
CHRIST.CHRIST. associated architects work has been published internationally and has received several awards: the best architects award 13; the SAIE Selection award 12 by the Bologna Fair with the first prize in the section Housing Requalification; Honouring of good architecture in Hesse “Johann-Wilhelm-Lehr-Plakette” given by the Bund Deutscher Architekten BDA (association of german architects); the Iconic Awards 2013, best of best in architecture by the German Design Council; The International Architecture Award for 2013 for two projects by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies and the “Goldenes Haus 2013” Award. In 2013 the office was nominated for the highest official design award of Germany, the German Design Award 2014 and has been honored in the category “Architecture and Interior Design” with the “Special Mention”- Award for special design quality. Also in 2014 the office received the “Heinze ArchitektenAward” for impressing residential architecture and the architecture award “Auszeichnung vorbildlicher Bauten” given by the chamber of architects in Hesse. Furthermore the office got awarded with the International Architecture Award in 2015 by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design; the Iconic Awards 2015 - architecture winner; the Build Architecture Award 2015; the Heinze ArchitektenAward - Shortlist 2016; the German Design Award 2016 with the “Special Mention”; the Best of Houzz Award 2017 - Design; the Build Architecture Award 2017 - Best multi-family residential architecture firm Germany & German private housing project of the year 2017; Build Architectural Innovation Award 2018 - Best German Architectural Design Studio 2018; Honouring of good architecture in Hesse “Johann-Wilhelm-Lehr-Plakette 2018“ given by the Bund Deutscher Architekten BDA (association of german architects) for two Projects; the Iconic Awards 2018, Innovative Architecture - Selection; the International Architecture Award 2018 by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies; FIABCI PRIX D'EXCELLENCE GERMANY 2018 - Official Selection; the German Design Award 2020 as “Winner”; the Iconic Awards 2020, Innovative Architecture - Selection; the International Architecture Award 2020 by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies; the Iconic Awards 2021, Innovative Architecture - Winner; Auszeichnung - Die 50 besten Wohnbauten 2021 (Award for the 50 best residential buildings in 2021). In the 2021 Competitionline ranking, the office was ranked 24th among the most successful competition offices and in 2023 honouring of good architecture in Hesse the office received “Große Häuser, kleine Häuser – Ausgezeichnete Architekur in Hessen / Johann-Wilhelm-Lehr-Plakette 2023“ given by the Bund Deutscher Architekten BDA (association of german architects).
