Theflathad good starting conditions: South facing on its main façade, cross ventilation and a floor planwithkind ofsquare proportions. Although itsoriginal distribution suffered from a certain destructuring, with a mixture of uses thatcaused traffic crossings and poor spatial use.Therefurbishmentis proposed with a strategy based on simplicity and clarity, both in the distribution and in the choiceof materials and construction solutions. The distribution of public spaces (living room-dining room-kitchen) and privatespaces (bedrooms) is structured in two distinct axes linked to each of the two facades. The south axis that configures the living-dining room-kitchen is a large open space that has as a backdrop the islandand the front of tall kitchen units, which is separated from the living-dining room by a transparent sliding partition built inthe manner of "Verrière" with matt black lacquered steel and glass.Three bedrooms are articulated around the northaxis. The program is completed with abathroom, a courtesy toilet and a hall. The house also has a balcony-gallery.Thefloor of the house is made of natural oak wood, except for the wet areas, which have large-format porcelain stoneware.
