The BrightStar Hospital is one of the recently completed projects by CDA. Located in Moradabad, the 300-bedded super speciality hospital is one of the largest medical facilities in Uttar Pradesh. The hospital is designed to render a high-quality model of care using the principles of ‘evidence based-design that suggests introducing nature through colours, materials and other design elements. Located on the shores of Lake Michigan, the Bronson South Haven Hospital brings a unique delivery of care model and defines a new era healthcare to the local neighborhood and surrounding communities in South Haven, Michigan. The 52,000 square foot Hospital and Medical Offices replaces an aging, full-service 49 bed community hospital serving both Allegan and Van Buren Counties in Western Michigan. Advocate Aurora’s Central Telemetry Center completes the final phase of the Digital Patient Care and Management Center (DPCMC) in Oakbrook Terrace, IL designed by Matthei & Colin Associates. Part of a planned consolidation of remote digital patient care and resource management departments relocated outside of the hospital walls and into commercial space, the DPCMC is comprised of four areas with distinct but interrelated or codependent functions – Patient Care Command Center (PC3), Electronic ICU (EICU), Central Telemetry Center (CTC) and Common Staff Support (CSS). The Children’s Home and Lemieux Family Center is a one of a kind healthcare facility that provides specialized transitional pediatric care.  It is the only Hospital of its kind in the state of Pennsylvania.  When the opportunity arose to expand their hospital facilities, the goals were established to design family-focused patient rooms like no others. Two new nursing units were designed in a vertical addition over an existing one-story wing of the Hospital.  Each provides patient rooms with a home-like environment with three integrated zones; one for the patient, one for staff activities, and one that provides space for parents.  The rooms permit parents to stay with their children and be a part of the caring proc... The conversion from semi-private to private patient rooms began at the WVU Medicine’s Berkeley Medical Center with the 2nd-floor nursing unit and Progressive Care.  The project was constructed in multiple phases and created 20 private patient rooms. VEBH established a standard of using nature-inspired graphics to create a more pleasant patient healing environment.  The graphics were integrated into the headwalls of each patient room.   Other color-accented walls add interest and define the satellite nurse stations that are located between the patient rooms. Community-based hospitals build important care and treatment facilities in their hometowns to keep patients and their families close to their homes and to each other. West Virginia University Healthcare’s Berkeley Medical Center saw a critical need in their community of Martinsburg West Virginia to provide an Intensive Care Unit for newborn infants with serious medical issues. An increasing volume of work along with the planned acquisition and installation of new, advanced equipment created the need for a larger space for Butler Memorial Hospital’s central laboratory facility.  The expansion and renovation of the lab was defined in a strategic planning effort that outlined multiple phases of construction to implement the improvements without downtime. To better serve the community in and around California, PA, as well as students at California University, Washington Health System developed this new outpatient facility to serving a growing need in the area. A similar facilty was designed and constructed to serve Canonsburg, PA.The Center includes offices for family medicine physicians and supports internal medicine, pediatrics, orthopedics, women’s health services, and lab services.A bright, colorful waiting area greets patients. The exam / treatment rooms that can be used for specific specialties are organized around a central nurse station.The design anticipates future inclusion of imaging services at the Center. Altro

The new provincial hospital of Menongue answers a need for providing the region of Cuando Cubango with a high-tech and modern hospital, with far-reaching services and a 2,000-bed capacity.To do so, a modulated and functional architectural design has been proposed. The structural reticle guarantees maximum functioning flexibility. It also makes the adaptation to the continuous changes to which the health system is exposed without altering its configuration or functioning possible. It can be easily expanded thanks to the strategic disposition of the building on the terrain. Housing for the doctors who work in the hospital are placed at the end of the parcel. Contemporary Women’s Health approached BMA to design a new medical office building that would reflect their brand as a group of all-women physicians practicing the latest trends in modern obstetrics and gynecology. In collaboration with the physicians and staff, we developed a design that projects a very cleanly detailed modern and minimal exterior of glass, metal, and wood. The building entry is centrally located to act as the front door to both the clinical side of the practice as well as the spa, while still allowing each side its own waiting area and identity after entering.
