Construction of this health clinic in Zion Crossroads, Virginia wrapped up in 2012. With ALPOLIC MCM fabricated and installed by W.H. Stovall & Company, Inc., the two-phased process involved the construction of a core building, two-story ambulatory healthcare shell, general practice clinic, radiology/imaging area, and an outpatient surgery center. Covering an area of approximately 8000㎡, it functions as a comprehensive healthcare facility with three main components: the programme exhibition centre, Kangyang Yile Sanatorium, and medical care houses. Building in the Desert. Designing Without References. A Hospital in a Remote Location.   These questions, along with the climatic challenges of building in an inhospitable environment, were the ones we asked ourselves before beginning the project. We looked into how the ancient Aymaras did it. The project took shape with a simple geometry—a rectangle—shielded from the harsh sun by louvers that evoke the ancient Aymara "ponchos," surrounding the three façades that face the strongest radiation. Custom Metallic and Mica finishes from #ALPOLIC work together on the envelope of the Craig H. Neilsen Rehabilitation Hospital at the University of Utah to create a welcoming environment that also harmonizes with its natural surroundings. The shining copper color and pearlescent warmth of the Mica metal composite materials evoke a sense of calm and comfort.  Use of these finishes is particularly noticeable on the large canopy at the hospital's entrance. Paired together, the colors extend from the building to shield incoming patients and visitors from the sun, and draw them into a similarly designed place of solace and healing. The materials provide shade at the entrance and a calming color to greet visitors and patients. As the hospital, which had been operating in one place for 34 years since its opening in 1988, moved to a new space ahead of a generational change, the most important thing in planning the space is to treat patients of various ages and genders, including patients who have been coming and going for a long time. It should be a space where you can feel comfortable, and I wanted it to be a hospital that anyone would want to visit in the future due to the nature of internal medicine with a wide range of users. Tsukuba Mental Clinic have a medical facility on 1st floor and a  social rehabilitation support facility on 2nd floor. Mental Clinic don't have medical instruments, but It have only people and space. So I designed it being based on the space healing patients a disease. This clinic don't look like the clinic. The entrance and lobby look like a hotel, the examination room look like your dining room. The social rehabilitation support space look like a cafe. The project is located in the city of Eldoret in Kenya, which has the largest economy in East Africa. We can basically divide the hospital buildings into 2 main functions, the places where the patients stay (patient bedroom) and the places where the patients receive service as healthcare services. Being aware of these 2 different functions while designing the façade has been effective in handling the façade.We have 2 basic functions in the functions from the 1st floor to the last floor. 1-patient rooms (accomodation),2- places where health services are received in the hospital (consultation rooms, theater rooms, dentist).
