We were inspired to create our first authentic living space to reflect our client’s desire to live and work in his painting studio. The design emulates his painting style and personal lifestyle by using natural materials, minimalist values, and bridging social context within a live-work environment. The overall form takes on an ethos of monumental simplicity which inherently captures panoramic lake views from the steep mountainside terrain. ​ As part of authentic living, this studio is entirely devoid of added paints or stains. This Industrial Café Design in Medina, Saudi Arabia, is the perfect example of how stylish interior design can be managed on a limited budget. The use of natural materials, concrete, and mesh finishes along with bright gold lighting provides a great base. A truly laid-back holiday house this design seeks to adhere to a minimal aesthetic genre, the clients wanted to create a sophisticated, textural house with a rich materiality that wasn’t overwhelming or fussy.A busy couple with teenage children, the clients were specific with their functional brief, with an elevated and relatively open and level site to work with, this house is all about orientation and creating areas for living in at different times of the day. By extending at ground floor and reconfiguring the plan, a spacious and light filled minimal home was created with open plan kitchen, dining and living areas opening directly to the outside with frameless triple glazed windows and large sliding door framing the garden with views from the front door increasing the sense of space and garden connection.Industrial materials were exposed and celebrated such as black MDF for the kitchen, concrete blocks for the exposed blockwork walls and concrete floor which also reduced construction costs. The store is based in the KSA, Riyadh and offers a unique industrial ambiance that fits the store brand name.
