Yoshitaka Uchino, born in Tokyo,1977,founded YDS Architects in 2008 after he started his career as an architect in 2005.
He received his Master and Bachelor of Architecture from The University of Tokyo.
While studying on urban design and 'Spaces of agoras and paths' in post-graduate course of The University of Tokyo, he joined 'Tokyo Canal Project' and collaborated on urban research, proposed on urban design, held joint exhibition with several architects.
Yoshitaka received several awards and honors, including 'Design Top10 Award for Emergent Architect in the world' from BUILD,UK in 2016.In 2016 Singapore Institute of Architects nominated him for 'SIA-GETZ Architecture Prize for Emergent Architecture in Asia' .
Yoshitaka got ‘Construction Awards-Best International Architectural Practice – Japan’ from UK in 2017.
